my brother and I didn't talk for almost two years over something stupid that neither of us had the words to fix. he texted me out of nowhere on my birthday. just 'happy birthday man, miss you.' I called him that night. we talked for three hours. I don't know why I'm writing this except that it matters and I want to say it somewhere: I love him more than I know how to tell him.
